Sri Lanka is a small island in the Indian Ocean.  The expotential increase in population demands more lands for living and agricultural purposes, which has forced people to cut more trees and forests. As a result, deforestation and environmental pollution has become one of the biggest issues of the country. Cutting down forests by human beings is a grave threat to our civilization as well. There are evidences that, such activities have contributed significantly to climate change and inclination of irregular weather patterns. For example, in some parts of the island we have witnessed consecutive years of drought or severe flooding. Given this context, we think it is our primary responsibility to take action and corrective measures to alleviate the adverse effects of deforestation.

We trust you are also interested in environment protection. Since we have already distributed thousands of plants towards Tree planting campaigns and our present target is 50 acres of bare lands converted to green shades thus reducing global warming. We suppose you will take hands with us to make this event a success.
